FIT 176 Food Sensitivity Test - KBMO DIAGNOSTICS

FIT 176 Food Sensitivity Test - KBMO DIAGNOSTICS

$649.00

Food sensitivities affect more than 100 million people worldwide. Food sensitivities cause a range of illnesses and symptoms, including skin rashes and chronic intestinal diseases.

The FIT Test is a patented, multi-pathway delayed food sensitivity test. The test uses new technology that measures both IgG and Immune Complexes, the most common food-related pathways in the body.

The FIT 176 test measures the sensitivities of 176 different foods and additives spanning all major food groups.

Food elimination based on the FIT Test results reduces symptoms a patient is experiencing.

This is a test measuring food sensitivities that check IgG levels.

This test is a simple finger prick to collect a small blood sample.

This is an at-home food sensitivity test: once purchased, the kit will be shipped to the address provided.

Shipping costs are included in the product price.

Cannot ship to NY, NJ, RI, or Internationally.

The Results Include:

The FIT 176 test measures sensitivities of 176 different foods, colorings, and additives spanning most major food groups.

The Zonulin assay is also measured. Zonulin is an important marker that is representative of gut permeability.

The new Gut Barrier panel which includes; Candida, Zonulin, Occludin, and LPS.

Why Test IgG Sensitivities?

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) food testing is a useful guide for structuring elimination diets for patients with many chronic conditions. Individuals with neurological, gastrointestinal, movement and behavioral disorders often suffer from IgG food sensitivities. People may continue to eat offending foods unaware of their potential adverse effects. Symptoms associated with food sensitivities may occur hours or days after the offending food was eaten because IgG food antibodies remain for a much longer time than IgE antibodies. IgE food allergy causes the release of histamine, producing an immediate hypersensitivity reaction. In contrast, IgG food sensitivity is triggered by the binding of complement to IgG food antigen complexes, causing an inflammatory response. This is a delayed hypersensitivity reaction in which symptoms appear anywhere from hours to days after eating the offending food. Elimination of IgG-positive foods may improve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, autism, AD(H)D, cystic fibrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and epilepsy, according to numerous clinical studies.

The Benefits of Testing:

  • IgG testing determines if food reactions are contributing to physical or mental symptoms, and much more quickly than eliminating and then reintroducing each suspect food one by one over a period of time.

  • Removal of highly reactive foods from the diet is a non-invasive therapy that often mitigates a patient's symptoms.

  • Research and clinical studies suggest food allergies identified by IgG testing can be major contributing factors to many chronic health conditions.

  • Eliminating all identified IgG-positive foods after testing can reduce stress on the immune system, decrease inflammation (helping to heal “leaky gut”), resolve food cravings, and reduce the potential for eating disorders.

This Kit Includes the Zonulin Assay:

Dr. Brent Dorval and Dr. Alessio Fasano have partnered to create the only Zonulin assay which does not cross-react with haptoglobin, properdin, or any complement fragments. They have achieved this by creating a unique recombinant zonulin protein. Measuring the Zonulin antibody makes the assay also uniquely stable to avoid the fluctuations reported in Zonulin protein assays.

Zonulin is a protein that is synthesized in intestinal cells and liver cells. It is a key biomarker for intestinal permeability and is the only regulator of intestinal permeability that is reversible. Zonulin is one of three ways the FIT test can diagnose a leaky gut, along with finding a sensitivity to Candida and multiple Food Sensitivities. It is estimated that anywhere between 50 and 100 percent of food intolerance sufferers have increased intestinal permeability.

Specimen Requirements:

Dried Blood Spot (DBS): Four full circles of dried blood on the protein saver card are required. Please note that the elimination of food prior to sampling will reduce the ability of the laboratory to detect antibodies (allergies) to that food.

Analyte List:

INCLUDES: 176 foods and additives spanning most major food groups.

ZONULIN ASSAY: The Zonulin assay is also measured. Zonulin is an important marker that is representative of gut permeability.

NEW GUT BARRIER PANEL: The new Gut Barrier panel which includes; Candida, Zonulin, Occludin, and LPS.

Shipping Information:

Upon completion of your order, the lab test kit will be shipped directly to you to be completed at home. Once mailed back to the lab via a pre-paid mailer, it generally takes 3-4 weeks for the results to reach the provider. Cannot ship to NY, NJ, RI, or Internationally.
